- Running PPE
- -----------
-
-
- The first thing you need to do, (and I'm not going to waste space telling
- you how to backup and/or copy your files), is run the Install program
- provided named PPEINST.BAT.
-
- PPEINST is only used for the initial setup, after this it will no longer be
- needed.
-
- You also must consider that all the files included and neccessary to run
- PPE, (esp. external drivers), must all be stored either on the same
- diskette or at least reachable by DOS's Path enviroment variable.
-
- You can invoke PPE 2 different (but similiar) ways. The first, is to run
- the PPE.CMD ProComm Script File from ProComm when remote is ready to
- send/receive. Or, secondly, you can type [ALT-F4] (Gateway to DOS) and then
- type PPE25B at the DOS prompt manually.
-
- PPE will automatically close the door on it's way out, and bring you
- directly back to ProComm.
-
- Notes: For ultimate spectacular peformance and speed, place the files
-
- BAT.COM
- BATFUNC1.COM
- PPE25B.BAT
-
- into a RAMDISK, And....
-
- MLINK12.COM
- CLINK.EXE
- DSZ.EXE
-
- in the same drive/dir as ProComm, and....
-
- Create or Edit your Dos Path enviroment variable to include the
- drive/subdir where PPE can be found (i.e. D:\).
-
-
-
-
-
- And, again. Thank You For Your Support....
